Day 1: Drive to Logia/Semera: Drive to Logia, passing Nazreth and Awash National Park. Visit an Afar village. Overnight at a hotel in Semera.

Day 2: Drive to Afdera & Hot Springs: Drive to Afdera, secure local permits/Afar guide. Visit saline Lake Afdera. Overnight camping on the lakeside beach, enjoying the hot springs.

Day 3: Trek to Erta Ale: Proceed to Erta Ale via Kursewad and Waydoom (securing police escort). After dinner, a 3.5-hour night trek to the active Erta Ale shield volcano (one of only six on Earth with a persistent lava lake). Camp overnight.

Day 4: Erta Ale Descent & Rest: Early morning descent from Erta Ale. Breakfast at Dodom base. Drive to Ahmed Ella. Overnight in a local hotel. (Erta Ale means "smoking mountain" in Afar).

Day 5: Dallol & Mekele: Early morning visit to the Dallol Depression—see sulfuric acid springs, Lake Asale, salt extracting areas, and camel caravans. Afternoon drive to Mekele.

Day 6: Drive to Kombolcha: Scenic drive through the mountainside, observing the way of life of the Oromo and Amhara people. Overnight in Kombolcha (historic Christian settlement site).

Day 7: Return to Addis Ababa: Drive back to Addis Ababa, enjoying views of the Shewan Plateau and the Great Rift Valley from Gemassa Gedel. Pass through Tarmaber Tunnel. Attend a farewell dinner; transfer to the airport for the evening flight home.
