Doro Wot is a celebrated Ethiopian national dish, featuring chicken simmered in a complex, deeply seasoned, and often very spicy red sauce. The stew's rich flavor comes from a base of slow-cooked red onions, butter (niter kibbeh), and the essential berbere spice blend. Traditionally, this hearty and aromatic stew is served with at least one whole boiled egg per serving.
